TΗURSDAY EVENING 10 new laika (folk songs) . Composer - lyricist - Panayotis Kalantzopoulos, Sofia Papazoglou one of the most well known voices in Greece sings nine tracks and Alexis Parharidis sings one. The music brings to mind the picture of musicians performing on the street which in this case are Pantelis Stoikos –trumpet- Nikos Papavranusis percussion, Thanasis Sofras and Fergius Curry on bass.
The European National Radio Producers have placed THURSDAY EVENING in the Top10 for two last months indicates that for audiences in Europe Greek songs “do not sound Greek to them”.
